Don’t tell anyone, but I’m the bloke in charge of Western Australia’s tourism strategy. No matter what I do, I can’t seem to move our product. I’m a bit desperate, to be honest, because the boss is getting a bit snarky with my lack of success. You’d think it’d be easy to attract people to a place where the sun never stops shining and the beaches go on for ever.
Ever in hope
Well done for reaching out. They say that acceptance is the first step on the road to recovery. Not everyone gives a shit about beaches and sunshine. Haven’t you heard, the sun is a killer? I’m not sure if you know, Paul, but Perth and WA produce some of the best original music you’ll find anywhere in the world. We really are that good! If you want to get in good with your boss, talk to people in the music biz and make music a big part of your tourism strategy. We’ll be the world capital of contemporary music before you can say there’s no place like home, and many, many thousands of people from all over the world will be coming here to make music, play music and watch music.
